I attended the open house for the Boulder Valley Comprehensive Plan update process on Aug. 29. For years I was naively content that the BVCP was protecting our long-term interests. Recently, I had a meeting with a council member … he explained that the BVCP has no legal status.

More and more people are posturing for absurd things. City staff has proposals to bypass the zoning rules of neighborhoods; de facto density increases. For example, having co-op houses of 15 unrelated people living next to you, in what you thought was your quiet, low-density residential zoning.
