Jay Cooper: Forcing co-ops on neighborhoods

As always, the majority of the City Council hears these noises in the background, but they aren’t listening. This council must always make a statement, whether it’s the Folsom bike lane fiasco, wiping out downtown parking, making Nablus a sister city, damning the North Dakota pipeline (Boulder’s business, right?), or approving every business or hotel project proposed while at the same time bemoaning the daily commuters’ numbers.We’re about to have co-op housing crammed down our throats. It’s a done deal, folks, because it’s the “progressive” thing to do and this council always does the progressive thing.
